WordPress.com, the parent service of VideoPress and the infrastructure behind our video upload and processing systems, experienced 110 minutes of unscheduled downtime. An unscheduled change to a core router by a WordPress.com datacenter provider knocked the site offline. VideoPress video files, hosted on our content delivery networks, were unaffected by the outage. Theora 1.1 “Thusnelda” support
VideoPress supports Ogg Theora 1.1 video, better known as “Thusnelda” to enthusiastic developers tracking the project for its over one-year development. Theora 1.1 offers better-looking videos at the same bitrates, a much faster playback decoder, and support for two-pass encoding for even better looking videos.
